How to Use

Choose a suitable position against a wall, fence or other secure garden structure.

Attach the trellis securely using appropriate screws or ties, selecting fixings that are suitable for the supporting surface.

Plant your chosen climber at the base of the trellis and guide developing shoots towards the diamond lattice. Soft garden twine or suitable plant ties can be used to secure stems where necessary.

As the plant develops, continue training new growth across the trellis to create an attractive vertical display.

The panel can also be secured above a suitable fence panel where additional screening and privacy are required.

This is the straight rectangular Gardman Framed Willow Trellis Panel, not the separate curved-top version.

At 1.2m × 0.45m, it is the smaller of the two current sizes in this Gardman design; a larger 1.8m × 0.6m version is also available.

Natural willow will vary slightly in colour, thickness, texture and appearance. These variations are characteristic of the material rather than manufacturing defects.

Care & Maintenance

Check periodically that the trellis remains securely attached to its supporting wall or fence, particularly following strong winds.

Inspect plant ties as stems thicken and loosen or reposition them where necessary.

Natural willow will gradually weather outdoors. Check the frame and lattice over time and replace the panel if deterioration means it can no longer support plants securely.
