Position

Grow in partial shade or a bright position sheltered from strong afternoon sun and drying winds. Cyclamen perform particularly well beneath deciduous trees, in sheltered borders or in containers.

Watering

Keep the soil or compost lightly moist while plants are actively growing and flowering, allowing excess water to drain away freely. Avoid leaving pots standing in water, particularly during cold weather.

Soil

Plant in fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil. For containers, use a high-quality compost with good drainage to prevent the tubers sitting in overly wet conditions.

Hardiness and Winter Care
