Rhododendron (Evergreen Azalea)
3 Litre Pot
Plant Highlights: Masses of colourful spring flowers • Compact evergreen shrub • Excellent for containers and woodland gardens • Thrives in acidic soil
Evergreen Azaleas are compact, bushy shrubs that produce an abundance of colourful funnel-shaped flowers in spring, creating a vibrant display when many other shrubs are only just coming into growth. This product may include a range of varieties, so flower colour can vary, but all share neat evergreen foliage and a tidy growth habit.
Ideal for borders, woodland gardens and patio containers, azaleas bring reliable spring colour and year-round structure. Their compact size also makes them an excellent choice for smaller gardens or mixed shrub plantings.

Plant in partial shade or a position with morning sun and afternoon shade. A sheltered location protected from strong winds will help preserve both flowers and foliage.
Keep the soil consistently moist during the establishment period and during dry weather, particularly when growing in containers. Avoid allowing the compost to dry out completely.
Azaleas require acidic soil to thrive. If your garden has alkaline soil, grow them in a container using ericaceous compost and feed with a fertiliser suitable for acid-loving plants.
Very little pruning is needed. Remove faded flower trusses after flowering if desired, and lightly shape the plant only when necessary.
The spring flowers can attract bees and other pollinating insects.
