Fresh spring growth emerges bright green with attractive red margins before maturing to rich green through summer. In autumn, the foliage transforms into vibrant shades of yellow and orange, providing outstanding seasonal interest. Its manageable size makes it an excellent choice for smaller gardens, Japanese-inspired planting, sheltered borders and decorative patio containers, where its elegant form can be appreciated throughout the seasons.

Growing Guide

Positioning Plant in moist but well-drained soil in a sheltered position, protected from strong winds. Partial shade is ideal, particularly in warmer or exposed gardens, as it helps preserve the delicate foliage and reduces the risk of leaf scorch.
Watering Keep the soil evenly moist during prolonged dry periods, especially while the plant is establishing or if grown in a container.
Pruning Pruning is rarely required. Remove any dead, damaged or crossing branches during late autumn or winter if necessary to maintain its natural shape.
