Growing Guide
Plant in fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil in a sheltered position. It performs well in full sun or partial shade, although protection from strong afternoon sun and drying winds is beneficial in exposed gardens to help preserve the delicate foliage.
Water regularly during the establishment period and during prolonged dry spells. Apply a mulch of organic matter each spring to help conserve moisture and improve soil structure, keeping it clear of the trunk.
