Growing Guide
Plant in a sunny, sheltered position with fertile, well-drained soil. Agapanthus flowers best in full sun and benefits from soil that does not become waterlogged during winter. Water regularly while establishing and during prolonged dry spells, particularly when grown in containers.
Feed with a balanced fertiliser during the growing season to encourage strong flowering. Remove faded flower stems once blooming has finished and tidy away damaged foliage in spring.
Wildlife
The nectar-rich flowers attract bees and other pollinating insects, making Agapanthus 'Black Jack' a valuable addition to wildlife-friendly planting.
Why We Love It
The exceptionally deep flower colour and sturdy stems make 'Black Jack' a standout choice for summer displays. Its evergreen foliage provides year-round structure, while the dramatic flower heads bring lasting colour to both modern and traditional gardens.
