Indoor Placement
Position in bright, indirect light away from strong direct sunshine, which can scorch the fronds. It also tolerates lower light levels than many houseplants, making it suitable for bright hallways, living rooms and offices. Naturally humid rooms such as bathrooms are ideal, provided they receive sufficient natural light.
Avoid placing the plant close to radiators, air conditioning units or cold draughts, which can cause the fronds to brown.
Growing Guide
Keep the compost evenly moist but never waterlogged. Water the compost rather than pouring water directly into the centre of the rosette, where excess moisture can damage new growth. Feed occasionally with a balanced houseplant fertiliser during the growing season.
Good to Know
The broad fronds can collect dust over time. Wipe them gently with a damp cloth or rinse with lukewarm water to keep the foliage looking its best. New fronds emerge tightly rolled from the centre of the plant and gradually unfurl as they mature.
