Astilbe Younique® 'Pink' – Supplied in a 2-Litre Pot
Plant Highlights: Dense soft pink flower plumes • Compact, well-branched habit • Long-lasting summer display • Excellent for borders and containers • Ideal for moist, partially shaded gardens
Overview
Astilbe Younique® 'Pink' is a compact herbaceous perennial that produces abundant, full plumes of soft pink flowers above attractive finely divided green foliage. Flowering throughout summer, the upright blooms create a colourful display while adding texture and movement to borders and patio containers.
Part of the Younique® series, this variety is naturally well branched and floriferous, producing a generous display of flowers on a compact plant. It combines beautifully with hostas, ferns and heucheras in woodland-style planting and is equally effective in mixed perennial borders where the soil remains reliably moist.

Growing Guide
Plant in fertile, humus-rich soil that remains consistently moist but drains well. Astilbe performs best in partial shade, although it can also be grown in full sun where the soil does not dry out during warm weather. Water regularly during dry periods, particularly while establishing and when grown in containers.
Apply a mulch of organic matter each spring to help conserve moisture and improve soil structure.
Wildlife
The flowers are attractive to bees and other pollinating insects, making this a valuable addition to wildlife-friendly planting.
Pruning
Remove faded flower stems after flowering, or leave the attractive seed heads in place for late-season interest. Cut old foliage back to ground level in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.
