Growing Guide

Light

Place in a bright position with plenty of natural light. A sunny windowsill or bright conservatory can suit this plant well, although very strong summer sun through glass should be monitored for leaf scorch.

Watering

Allow the compost to dry well between waterings. The swollen trunk stores moisture, so overwatering is a greater risk than occasional dryness. Reduce watering during darker winter months when growth naturally slows.

Compost and Feeding

Use a free-draining indoor plant compost, ideally one suited to succulents or plants that prefer excellent drainage. Feed occasionally during the active growing season according to the fertiliser instructions.

Routine Care

Remove older dried leaves carefully and wipe dust from the foliage when needed. Repot only when necessary, as this plant generally prefers not to be disturbed too frequently.
