Growing Guide
Plant in a sunny position with well-drained soil. Buddlejas thrive in open, bright locations and become increasingly drought tolerant once established, although newly planted shrubs should be watered during prolonged dry periods.
Feed in spring with a balanced fertiliser if required and apply a mulch around the base, keeping it clear of the stems. Regular removal of spent flower heads will encourage further blooms throughout the flowering season.
Pruning
Prune in early spring before vigorous new growth begins. Cut back the previous year's stems to maintain the plant's compact shape and encourage strong new flowering shoots.
Wildlife
The nectar-rich flowers are highly attractive to butterflies, bees and other pollinating insects, making this an excellent addition to wildlife-friendly gardens.
