Growing Guide
Light
Place in a bright position with plenty of natural light. A sunny windowsill or bright conservatory can suit many cactus types well. Avoid dark corners, as insufficient light can lead to weaker growth.
Watering
Allow the compost to dry thoroughly between waterings. Cacti are adapted to storing moisture and are more sensitive to overwatering than occasional dryness. Reduce watering during darker winter months when growth slows.
Compost and Feeding
Use a free-draining cactus or succulent compost to help prevent moisture staying around the roots. Feed occasionally during the growing season with a suitable cactus fertiliser, following the product instructions.
Routine Care
Rotate the pot occasionally to encourage balanced growth towards the available light. Handle carefully, as some cactus varieties have fine spines that may not always be immediately visible.
Indoor Placement
A bright living room, home office or conservatory can suit a cactus mix, provided it receives enough natural light. Its compact size makes it useful for smaller spaces where a low-maintenance watering routine is preferred.
Good to Know
This is a mixed selection, so the exact cactus types, shapes and growth habits vary across the current range. The care needs shared by cactus selections are bright light, excellent drainage and avoiding consistently wet compost.
