Choisya 'Aztec Pearl' is a compact evergreen shrub grown for its finely divided, aromatic foliage and abundant clusters of pure white, sweetly scented flowers. The narrow, glossy green leaves give the plant a light, graceful appearance that sets it apart from broader-leaved Mexican Orange Blossoms. Its main flowering display arrives in late spring, often followed by a lighter repeat flowering later in the season when conditions are favourable.
Its naturally rounded habit makes it an excellent choice for mixed shrub borders, courtyard gardens and large patio containers. The evergreen foliage provides year-round structure, while the fragrant flowers bring seasonal interest close to seating areas, entrances and paths where their perfume can be appreciated.
Delicate, finely cut evergreen foliage creates a softer look than many evergreen shrubs.
Highly fragrant white flowers brighten the garden in spring.
Often produces a welcome second flush of flowers later in the season.
Easy to maintain with only light pruning after flowering.
A reliable evergreen shrub for contemporary and traditional gardens alike.

Water regularly during the first growing season while the root system establishes. Once established, water during prolonged dry spells, especially for plants growing in containers.
Grow in fertile, well-drained soil that retains some moisture without becoming waterlogged. Improve heavy clay soils with organic matter before planting to enhance drainage.
Well suited to Irish gardens in a sheltered position. Young plants and container-grown specimens benefit from protection from severe frost and cold drying winds during particularly harsh winters.
Prune lightly immediately after the main flowering period to maintain a compact shape and encourage bushy new growth. Remove any dead, damaged or crossing stems as required. Apply a balanced fertiliser in spring to support healthy growth and flowering.
