Growing Guide

Position

Plant in full sun or partial shade in a sheltered position. Good light encourages the best foliage colour, while shelter helps protect the leaves from strong, drying winds.

Watering

Water regularly during the establishment period and during prolonged dry spells, particularly for plants grown in containers. Allow excess water to drain freely.

Soil

Grow in fertile, well-drained soil. Avoid sites that remain waterlogged over winter, as good drainage is important for healthy growth.

Seasonal Care

In colder or more exposed areas, protect the growing point during severe winter weather. Container-grown plants can be moved to a more sheltered position if prolonged frost is expected.

Perfect For

• Feature containers
• Contemporary gardens
• Mixed borders
• Courtyard gardens
• Coastal gardens with some shelter
