Overview
Cosmos atrosanguineus 'Chocamocha'® is a compact selection of the much-loved Chocolate Cosmos, producing velvety dark chocolate-red flowers with an unmistakable chocolate fragrance that is most noticeable on warm, sunny days. Its compact size also makes it an excellent choice for planting close to seating areas where its unique scent can be fully appreciated.

Growing Guide
Position
Plant in a sunny, sheltered position where it receives plenty of direct sunlight. A warm location encourages the strongest flowering and brings out the distinctive chocolate fragrance.
Watering
Water regularly while establishing and during prolonged dry spells, particularly when grown in containers. Keep the soil evenly moist but never waterlogged.
Soil
Grow in moderately fertile, well-drained soil. Good drainage is especially important during winter to help protect the underground tubers.
Hardiness and Winter Care
'Chocamocha'® is a tender to half-hardy tuberous perennial. In sheltered gardens with well-drained soil, a generous winter mulch may offer protection during mild winters. In colder or exposed areas, or when grown in containers, move plants or lift and store the tubers in a cool, frost-free place until spring.
Routine Care
Remove spent flowers regularly to encourage continuous blooming throughout the season. Feed during the growing season with a balanced fertiliser to support healthy growth and prolific flowering.
