Overview
Cotinus coggygria 'Golden Spirit' is a striking deciduous shrub grown primarily for its luminous golden-yellow foliage, which provides vibrant colour from spring until autumn. During summer, airy, smoke-like flower plumes appear above the foliage, creating the soft, misty effect that gives Smoke Bush its common name.
As the season progresses, the foliage develops rich shades of orange, red and scarlet before falling, making this an exceptional shrub for long-lasting seasonal interest. Its upright, bushy habit makes it a superb focal point in borders or as a specimen in larger containers.

Growing Guide
Position
Plant in full sun for the brightest foliage colour, although it will also perform well in partial shade.
