Growing Guide

Position in a bright spot with plenty of natural light. It thrives in bright, indirect light and will also tolerate several hours of gentle direct sun each day. Allow the compost to dry thoroughly between waterings, reducing watering further during the winter months.

Use a free-draining succulent compost and ensure the pot has good drainage, as prolonged wet conditions can lead to root rot. Feed occasionally during spring and summer with a balanced houseplant fertiliser.

Indoor Placement

'Hobbit' is ideal for living rooms, home offices and bright kitchens, where it can receive plenty of natural light. Its compact habit makes it well suited to desks, windowsills and shelves.

Why We Love It

The unusual rolled leaves give this Jade Plant a character all of its own. Its sculptural shape, slow growth and straightforward care make it a rewarding houseplant that looks attractive throughout the year.

Good to Know

As the plant matures, it develops thick, woody stems that enhance its miniature tree-like appearance. Rotating the pot occasionally will encourage even growth towards the light.
