Growing Guide
Position
Plant in full sun in a sheltered position for the strongest flowering and best stem quality. Although more compact than traditional delphiniums, protection from strong winds will help preserve the flower spikes.
Watering
Water regularly during the first growing season and keep the soil consistently moist during active growth and flowering. Avoid allowing the soil to dry out completely during prolonged warm weather.
Soil
Grow in fertile, humus-rich, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil enriched with organic matter before planting.
Hardiness and Winter Care
Fully hardy throughout Ireland. The foliage dies back naturally in autumn before fresh growth emerges in spring. Apply a mulch around the crown each spring to help retain moisture and improve soil fertility.
Routine Care
