Overview
Dianthus ‘Lily the Pink’® is a compact perennial grown for its beautifully scented, soft pink flowers with finely fringed petals. Flowering from late spring into summer, it provides weeks of colour while filling the garden with the distinctive clove-like fragrance that makes pinks such enduring favourites.

Growing Guide
Position
Plant in a sunny, open position where it will receive at least six hours of direct sunlight each day. Good air circulation helps keep the foliage healthy.
Soil
Grow in well-drained soil, as Dianthus dislikes prolonged winter wet. It performs particularly well in raised beds, gravel gardens and containers with free-draining compost.
Watering
Water regularly while establishing. Once established, water only during extended dry periods, allowing the soil surface to dry slightly between waterings. Container-grown plants should be checked more frequently.
Pruning
Remove faded flowers regularly to encourage continued blooming. After flowering, lightly trim the foliage to maintain a neat, compact mound and encourage fresh growth.
