Growing Guide

Indoor Placement

Position in bright, indirect light. It will tolerate some gentle morning or evening sun, but avoid prolonged strong midday sunlight, which may scorch the fronds. Keep away from cold draughts and heat sources.

Watering

Water when the top few centimetres of compost begin to dry. Keep the compost lightly moist during the growing season, allowing excess water to drain away. Reduce watering slightly during winter.

Humidity

This palm appreciates moderate to higher humidity. Occasional misting or placing the pot near other houseplants can help maintain healthy-looking foliage, particularly in centrally heated homes.

Feeding

Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced liquid houseplant fertiliser. Reduce or stop feeding during autumn and winter.
