Growing Guide
Plant in a sunny, open position where the soil drains freely, particularly during winter. Improve heavy soils with organic matter and grit if necessary. Water while establishing and during prolonged dry spells, then reduce watering once established.
Deadhead spent flowers regularly to encourage continued flowering through the season. Leave some seed heads in autumn if desired for winter interest before cutting old stems back in late winter or early spring as fresh growth emerges.
Why We Love It
The SunSeekers® series combines vibrant colour with a tidy, compact habit, making it easier to use in smaller gardens and patio planting. 'Tequila Sunrise' brings warm golden and orange-red tones that mix beautifully with ornamental grasses, salvias, rudbeckias and other late-summer perennials, while its sturdy stems also make excellent cut flowers.
Wildlife
The nectar-rich flowers are attractive to bees and butterflies during the flowering season.
