Westland Ericaceous Specialist Planting Mix is a premium, carefully formulated compost designed for acid-loving plants such as rhododendrons, azaleas, and camellias. Enriched with iron and a zinc complex, it nourishes plants from the inside out, supporting stronger growth, vibrant flowers, and long-lasting health.

The slow release iron maintains the optimum acidic soil pH, helping plants thrive while boosting immunity against common nutrient deficiencies. Enriched with zinc complex, this ericaceous planting mix promotes resilience and overall plant strength. With up to six months of slow release nutrition, your ericaceous plants receive consistent feeding for bigger, brighter blooms, lush green foliage, and a healthier root system.

How to Use

Rework the compost between your hands to allow it to regain its intended texture.

Potting

Thoroughly water the plant, gently tap the pot to remove the plant, and shake off loose compost. Half fill the pot with new compost, place the plant in the pot, fill gaps with more compost, firm in and water.

Planting Out

Dig a hole approximately. twice the depth and diameter of the root ball. Place the plant in the hole with new compost, fill gaps with more compost, firm in and water.

Aftercare

If plants appear pale or leaves are yellow,  supplementary feed should be applied. Removing dead flowers after they have bloomed ensures maximum plant energy for up to 3x more flowers!

It can be used throughout the year when potting or planting out rose plants.
