Plant Highlights: Colourful variegated evergreen foliage • Lime-green spring flowers • Foliage develops pink and red winter tints • Compact, architectural habit for year-round interest
Overview
Euphorbia ‘Ascot Rainbow’ is a striking evergreen shrub grown for its colourful foliage and long-lasting seasonal interest. The narrow blue-green leaves are edged with creamy yellow, creating a bright display throughout the year. In cooler weather, the foliage often develops attractive pink and red tones, extending its ornamental value into autumn and winter.
From spring, clusters of lime-green flower heads are held above the foliage, adding fresh colour and architectural structure to borders and containers. Its compact, naturally rounded habit makes it an excellent choice for contemporary planting, gravel gardens and mixed borders.

Growing Guide
Position
Grow in full sun or partial shade. The foliage colour is often at its best in a bright, sunny position, while the plant also performs well in light shade.
Soil
Plant in well-drained soil. It is particularly well suited to gravel gardens, raised beds and borders where excess winter moisture can drain away freely.
Watering
Water regularly while establishing. Once established, the plant is relatively drought tolerant and generally only requires watering during prolonged dry spells. Container-grown plants should be monitored more frequently.
Pruning
After flowering, cut back the stems that have flowered to the base, taking care to leave new shoots to develop for the following year's display. Wear gloves when pruning, as the milky sap can irritate skin and eyes.
