About this product

Ficus benghalensis 'Audrey' – Banyan Fig (P27 Pot, Approx. 90 cm)

Plant Highlights: Large velvety green leaves • Elegant upright growth • Excellent statement houseplant • Easy to shape and maintain • Brings year-round structure to bright interiors

Overview

Ficus benghalensis 'Audrey' is a sophisticated indoor foliage plant, admired for its broad, velvety green leaves with striking pale veins and its graceful upright habit. Closely related to the famous banyan tree, this houseplant offers a softer, more refined appearance than the popular fiddle-leaf fig while remaining equally architectural.

Its clean lines and understated foliage make it an excellent choice for modern interiors, where it provides year-round greenery and develops into an impressive feature plant over time.

Growing Guide

Position in bright, indirect light for the healthiest growth. A little gentle morning or late afternoon sun is usually well tolerated, but avoid prolonged harsh midday sunshine. Water thoroughly when the top few centimetres of compost have dried, allowing excess water to drain away before returning the plant to its decorative pot.

Maintain a warm, stable indoor environment and avoid sudden temperature changes, cold draughts and placing the plant close to radiators or air conditioning. Rotate the pot occasionally to encourage balanced growth and wipe the leaves from time to time to keep them free from dust.

Indoor Placement

Ideal as a feature plant in bright living rooms, home offices, conservatories and entrance halls with good natural light. Its upright habit makes it particularly effective beside sofas, in empty corners or as a focal point in open-plan spaces.

Why We Love It

'Audrey' combines elegant, velvety foliage with a strong architectural shape, making it a superb alternative to more demanding indoor figs. Its understated appearance suits a wide range of interior styles, from contemporary to classic.
