Growing Guide
Light
Place in bright, indirect light for the healthiest growth. It will tolerate slightly lower light levels, although growth may slow and the plant may become less compact.
Watering
Allow the top few centimetres of compost to dry before watering thoroughly. Reduce watering during the cooler months when growth naturally slows, and never allow the plant to remain in waterlogged compost.
Compost
Use a free-draining houseplant compost and ensure the container has good drainage. Repot only when the roots have filled the pot, moving up gradually to the next pot size.
Routine Care
Wipe the large leaves occasionally with a damp cloth to remove dust and keep them looking their best. Rotate the pot every few weeks to encourage even growth and avoid placing the plant close to radiators, cold draughts or frequently opened doors.
Indoor Placement
This plant performs well in bright living rooms, home offices, conservatories and entrance halls with good natural light. It appreciates a consistent environment and benefits from being positioned away from sudden temperature changes.
