Overview
Ficus elastica 'Belize', commonly known as the Variegated Rubber Plant, is a distinctive indoor plant grown for its large, glossy leaves splashed with shades of green, cream and soft pink. New growth often emerges with richer pink colouring before maturing, giving the plant year-round visual interest.
Its upright habit and colourful foliage make it an excellent statement plant for modern interiors. As it matures, it develops into an elegant, architectural houseplant that complements both contemporary and traditional décor.

Indoor Placement
Place in a bright room with plenty of indirect light to maintain the best leaf colour. A position close to an east- or west-facing window is ideal, while strong midday summer sun should be filtered to help prevent leaf scorch.
Keep away from cold draughts, radiators and sudden temperature changes. Rotate the pot occasionally to encourage even growth.
Growing Guide
Water thoroughly, allowing excess water to drain away, then wait until the surface of the compost has partially dried before watering again. Reduce watering during the winter when growth naturally slows.
Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced liquid houseplant fertiliser. Wipe the leaves occasionally with a damp cloth to remove dust and keep the foliage looking its best.
Good to Know
Like other rubber plants, Ficus elastica 'Belize' produces a milky latex sap if stems or leaves are damaged. This sap can cause skin irritation and is toxic if ingested, so it is best positioned out of reach of children and pets.
