Indoor Placement
Position in a bright room with plenty of indirect light. Most Rubber Plants tolerate a little gentle morning or evening sun, but strong midday sunshine is best filtered to protect the foliage, particularly on variegated varieties.
Keep away from cold draughts, radiators and sudden temperature changes. Rotate the pot occasionally to encourage balanced growth.
Growing Guide
Water thoroughly, allowing excess water to drain away, then allow the top of the compost to dry before watering again. Reduce watering during winter when growth slows naturally.
Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced liquid houseplant fertiliser. Wipe the leaves occasionally with a damp cloth to keep them free from dust and maintain their natural sheen.
Good to Know
This is a mixed assortment, so the exact cultivar, leaf colour and degree of variegation will vary from plant to plant. All varieties enjoy similar growing conditions.
Like all Ficus elastica varieties, the plants produce a white milky latex sap if damaged. This sap can irritate the skin and eyes and is toxic if ingested, so plants should be kept out of reach of children and pets.
