Overview

The Flopro Mechanical Timer is a simple, battery-free way to control how long your garden is watered. Attach it to your outdoor tap, connect your hose and turn the dial to the required watering duration. Once the selected time has elapsed, the timer automatically shuts off the water flow, so there is no need to remember to return to the tap.

Watering can be set for up to 120 minutes in 15-minute increments, making the timer ideal for running lawn sprinklers and garden irrigation systems for a controlled period. A manual override provides additional flexibility when you want to use the water supply without a timed programme.

How to Use

Fit to the Tap

Choose the correct reducer size for your outdoor tap. The timer has a 25mm / 1in connection with 19mm / ¾in and 12.5mm / ½in inserts.

Screw the timer firmly onto the tap, ensuring the connection is secure.

Attach your garden hose to the timer's snap-fit outlet using a suitable hose connector.

Set the Watering Time

Turn on the outdoor tap and rotate the timer dial to the required watering duration.

The timer can be set for up to 120 minutes in 15-minute increments.

Water will flow to your connected sprinkler or irrigation system for the selected period. When the timer reaches the end of the set duration, it automatically shuts off the water flow.

Manual Watering

Use the manual override when you need water without setting a timed watering period.

Perfect For

• Lawn sprinklers

• Garden irrigation systems

• Timed watering of beds and borders

• Vegetable gardens

• Regular summer watering

• Gardeners who want automatic shut-off without batteries

• Existing universal snap-fit watering systems

Good to Know

Unlike an electronic irrigation controller, the Flopro Mechanical Timer requires no batteries or electronic programming. Simply select the required watering duration using the mechanical dial.

It controls the duration of each watering session rather than scheduling watering for a particular future time or day. This makes it particularly useful when you want to start watering now but have the supply shut off automatically later.

The universal snap-fit outlet is compatible with all major watering brands.

Care & Storage

Disconnect the timer from the outdoor tap before freezing weather. Drain residual water, clean the fitting and store it in a dry, frost-free environment over winter.

Check the timer and connections before each watering season and remove any dirt or debris that could interfere with a secure connection.
