Fuchsia 'Tom Thumb' is a compact, free-flowering hardy fuchsia that produces an abundance of small, elegant blooms from summer well into autumn. Its distinctive flowers feature rich crimson-pink sepals surrounding deep purple petals, creating a colourful display over many months.
Naturally neat and bushy, this reliable perennial is ideal for the front of borders, patio containers and smaller gardens where its long flowering season brings lasting colour. Its compact size also makes it easy to combine with other summer-flowering plants.

Grow in full sun or partial shade in fertile, well-drained soil. A sheltered position will help protect young growth from strong winds.
Keep the soil evenly moist while establishing. Container-grown plants will need more frequent watering during warm weather, but avoid waterlogging.
Plant in fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil enriched with organic matter.
Leave the stems in place over winter to help protect the crown. In spring, once new growth appears, cut back the old stems to healthy buds near the base.
The nectar-rich flowers are attractive to bees and other pollinating insects throughout the flowering season.
