Growing Guide

Position

Plant in full sun for the best flowering performance. Choose a sheltered location with good air circulation and avoid areas prone to winter waterlogging.

Watering

Water regularly while plants are becoming established and during extended dry spells. Keep the soil evenly moist but never saturated. Container-grown plants will need more frequent watering during warm weather.

Soil

Grow in fertile, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. For containers, use a quality multi-purpose compost with good drainage to help keep the crown healthy.

Hardiness and Winter Care

Garvinea® performs best in mild Irish gardens with free-draining soil. In colder regions or exposed sites, apply winter mulch around the crown and provide protection for container-grown plants during prolonged frost.

Routine Care

Deadhead faded flowers regularly by removing the complete flower stem to encourage continuous blooming. Remove damaged or old foliage as required to keep the plant tidy and healthy.

Perfect For
