‘Centennial Seedless’ is a high-quality green seedless grape, excellent for fresh eating and drying. It performs best in a greenhouse or polytunnel in Ireland, where the berries develop good sweetness and size.

How to Plant

Plant in Free-draining, reasonably fertile soil or loam-based compost in a border inside a greenhouse or tunnel. in a position with Full sun; needs plenty of warmth for best crops.. Dig a generous planting hole, mix in organic matter, and water thoroughly after planting. Apply a mulch around the base to help conserve moisture and suppress weeds.

Care Tips

  • Plant inside a greenhouse or polytunnel and train on wires or along the roof.
  • Prune in winter using a rod-and-spur system, taking care not to prune when the vine is bleeding sap.
  • In summer, thin bunches and trim lateral shoots to improve light and airflow.

Vines can easily reach 2–3m in each direction within 3–4 years when well managed.

Harvest

Under cover, grapes usually ripen from late August into September. Allow them to fully sweeten on the vine before harvesting.
