‘Zilga’ is another very hardy Latvian grape, producing blue to blue-black berries on reliable outdoor vines. It is widely grown in cold regions thanks to its toughness and ability to ripen fruit in shorter summers.

How to Plant
Plant in Free-draining soil; avoid waterlogged sites. in a position with Full sun is essential for good ripening.. Dig a generous planting hole, mix in organic matter, and water thoroughly after planting. Apply a mulch around the base to help conserve moisture and suppress weeds.

- Provide strong supports and train canes along wires or a pergola.
- Winter prune to a simple, clear framework; summer prune to control vigour.
