Griselinia littoralis
Confirmed format: 5 Litre Pot
Plant Highlights: Dense evergreen foliage all year • Fast-growing hedge for privacy and screening • Glossy apple-green leaves • Excellent choice for coastal and exposed gardens • Easy to clip and maintain
Griselinia littoralis, commonly known as New Zealand Broadleaf or Griselinia, is one of the most popular evergreen hedging plants for Irish gardens. Its glossy, apple-green leaves create a fresh, vibrant appearance throughout the year, while its naturally dense growth provides an effective screen for privacy, shelter and garden structure. Well suited to both formal and informal gardens, Griselinia responds well to clipping and quickly forms a thick, attractive hedge. It also makes an excellent specimen shrub or backdrop in mixed borders.
Griselinia combines rapid growth with attractive evergreen foliage, making it an excellent choice where a hedge is needed in a relatively short time. Its bright green leaves provide year-round colour and create an attractive backdrop for flowering plants, while its tolerance of coastal conditions makes it particularly useful in many Irish gardens.
