Overview

The Grow It Round Tree Stake 120cm (47in) is a robust wooden support designed for securing small trees, plants and roses while they establish. Measuring 120cm long with a 35mm diameter, it provides a substantial alternative to lightweight bamboo canes where firmer support is required.

The wooden stake is pressure treated for durability using a non-toxic preservative and is made from FSC® certified wood. Installed firmly beside a newly planted tree or other suitable plant and used with an appropriate tree tie, it provides dependable support against excessive movement while the root system establishes.

How to Use

Choose the stake position before securing the plant, taking care to avoid unnecessary damage to the root system.

Drive the stake firmly into stable ground so that it provides adequate support. The final height above ground will be less than 120cm because part of the stake needs to be embedded securely in the soil.

Secure the tree or plant using a suitable tree tie, allowing enough room for natural stem or trunk development. Avoid tying the plant so tightly that the tie cuts into the bark.

Check the stake and tie periodically, particularly after strong winds and as the plant develops. Adjust the tie where necessary to prevent rubbing or restriction.

Perfect For

• Newly planted small trees

• Young ornamental trees

• Shrubs requiring additional support

• Roses

• Exposed planting positions

• Supporting plants during establishment

• Gardens and landscaped areas

Good to Know

This 120cm stake has a 35mm diameter, making it a substantial wooden support despite being the shortest size in the Grow It round tree stake range.

Tree stakes work best when paired with a suitable tree tie that holds the plant securely without damaging the bark. Check both the tie and stake regularly rather than leaving them unattended as the tree matures.

The timber is pressure treated with a non-toxic preservative to improve its suitability for outdoor garden use.

Care & Maintenance

Periodically check that the stake remains firmly positioned and has not loosened due to wind or wet ground.

Inspect the tree tie for excessive tension, rubbing or deterioration and adjust or replace it where required.

As with any natural timber product used outdoors and in contact with soil, inspect the stake over time and replace it if deterioration means it can no longer provide reliable support.
