Hebe × andersonii 'Variegata'
Confirmed format: 7.5 Litre Pot
Plant Highlights: Cream-edged evergreen foliage for year-round structure • Purple flower spikes fading paler with age • Compact, bushy habit suitable for borders or pots • Attractive to bees and other pollinating insects
Hebe × andersonii 'Variegata' is a compact evergreen shrub valued as much for its decorative foliage as its flowers. Glossy grey-green leaves are irregularly edged with creamy white, providing year-round interest, while spikes of small purple flowers appear throughout summer, gradually fading to a paler shade as they mature. Its naturally rounded habit makes it an excellent choice for mixed shrub borders, coastal gardens and large patio containers, where the variegated foliage provides brightness even outside the flowering season.
The striking cream-edged foliage keeps this shrub looking attractive throughout the year, while the summer flowers add a welcome burst of colour. It works beautifully as a specimen in a container or as part of an evergreen planting scheme, while the nectar-rich flowers attract bees and other pollinating insects.
