Growing Guide

Plant in full sun or partial shade in fertile, well-drained soil. Hebes perform best in a sheltered position with good drainage, particularly during winter. Water regularly while establishing, then only during extended dry periods.

Apply a balanced fertiliser in spring and mulch annually with organic matter to help conserve soil moisture and maintain healthy growth.

Wildlife

The nectar-rich flower spikes attract bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects throughout the flowering season.

Pruning

Remove spent flower spikes after flowering to keep plants neat and encourage bushy growth. Avoid cutting back into old, leafless wood, as it may not regenerate readily.
