Helleborus niger 'Christmas Carol', commonly known as the helleborus or Christmas rose, is a prized perennial celebrated for its luminous winter blooms. From December through to March, it produces striking white flowers held neatly above dark green, semi-evergreen foliage. Naturally compact and slow-growing, this dwarf cultivar reaches a mature height and spread of 30 cm, making it a fantastic choice for bringing vibrant cheer and structure to Irish gardens during the darkest months of the year.
