Overview
Hosta 'Halcyon' is widely regarded as one of the finest blue-leaved hostas available, prized for its dense, compact mound of thick, spear-shaped leaves in a striking, chalky blue-grey shade that maintains its intense colour throughout the growing season. In mid to late summer, elegant spikes of pale lavender and violet bell-shaped flowers rise above the glaucous foliage. Its thick foliage also gives it excellent pest resistance against slugs.
