Hydrangea 'French Bolero® Roze' is a compact deciduous shrub bred for its remarkable flowering habit. Unlike traditional mophead hydrangeas, it produces elegant pink lacecap flowerheads abundantly along the entire length of its stems, creating an exceptionally floriferous display from early summer into autumn.

Growing Guide

Position

Plant in partial shade or where it receives morning sun and afternoon shade. In cooler parts of Ireland it can also be grown in full sun provided the soil remains consistently moist throughout the growing season.

Watering

Water regularly during the first growing season to establish a strong root system. Continue watering during prolonged dry spells, particularly for container-grown plants, as hydrangeas perform best in evenly moist soil.

Soil

Grow in fertile, humus-rich, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil. Incorporating plenty of organic matter before planting helps improve moisture retention and encourages healthy growth.

Hardiness and Winter Care

Hydrangea 'French Bolero® Roze' is fully hardy throughout Ireland. Apply a mulch around the base in late winter or early spring to help conserve soil moisture and protect the roots. Shelter from drying winds where possible.
