Vitax Hydrangea Liquid Feed 1L is a concentrated specialist plant food designed around the nutritional needs of vigorous, hungry hydrangeas. Its tailored nutrient blend supports strong, healthy growth, rich green foliage and an abundant display of vibrant flowers throughout the growing season.

The formulation contains potash to encourage flowering and nitrogen to support healthy vegetative growth and leaf colour. Low levels of iron and manganese provide important trace elements involved in chlorophyll production.

Suitable for hydrangeas growing in pots, patio containers or garden beds, the feed can be used with different soil types, including peat-free composts and free-draining growing media. The concentrated 1 litre bottle makes up to 50 watering cans, or approximately 225 litres of diluted feed.

Product Details

How to Use

Shake well before use.

1. Fill a watering can with 4.5 litres of water.

2. Add one capful (20ml) of Vitax Hydrangea Liquid Feed.

3. Mix thoroughly.

4. Apply the diluted feed directly to the soil around the base of the hydrangea.

5. Avoid wetting the foliage.

6. Apply until the soil is thoroughly moistened.

For best results, feed hydrangeas every 7–14 days from early spring through to late summer during active growth and flowering.

Do not store diluted feed; mix only what is required for each application.

Good to Know

This is a plant feed rather than a hydrangea colourant. It provides nutrients to support growth and flowering but is not specifically intended to change pink hydrangea flowers to blue.

Hydrangea flower colour can be affected by variety and growing conditions. Where deliberately changing suitable pink hydrangeas towards blue is the objective, a specialist hydrangea colourant should be used according to its own directions.

The concentrated formula provides excellent value: 20ml per 4.5 litres of water means a 1 litre bottle makes approximately 50 watering cans, equivalent to around 225 litres of diluted feed.

Safety & Storage

Keep out of reach of children.

Store the concentrate out of direct sunlight in a cool, dry place between 0°C and 30°C, and protect it from frost.

Do not keep diluted feed after use.

Wear gloves when gardening and wash hands after handling fertilisers. Avoid getting the feed on foliage and stems, and always follow the directions and safety information on the current product label.
