Overview
Hydrangea paniculata 'Baby Lace' is a compact deciduous shrub producing an abundance of elegant, cone-shaped flower panicles throughout summer. The creamy white blooms are carried on sturdy stems and remain attractive well into autumn, providing a long season of interest in the garden.

Growing Guide
| Pruning Time | Prune in February or March before new growth starts. |
|---|
Plant in fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Water regularly during the first growing season and during prolonged dry spells, particularly if growing in a container.
Apply a spring mulch of organic matter to help conserve moisture and improve soil structure. Feed with a balanced fertiliser in spring to encourage healthy growth and abundant flowering.
Wildlife
The flower heads can attract pollinating insects when the fertile florets are open, while the shrub's dense branching provides shelter for garden wildlife.
Pruning
As with other Hydrangea paniculata varieties, 'Baby Lace' flowers on new season's growth. Prune in late winter or early spring by shortening the previous year's stems to a strong pair of buds to encourage vigorous new shoots and abundant flowers.
