Growing Guide
Position
Place in the brightest room available, ideally near a south- or west-facing window where it receives several hours of direct sunlight each day. Strong light encourages compact growth and the richest red colouring along the leaf margins.
Watering
Allow the compost to dry out completely between waterings. Water thoroughly, allowing excess water to drain away freely, then leave the compost to dry again before watering. Reduce watering significantly during winter.
Compost
Grow in a free-draining cactus or succulent compost. Ensure the nursery pot has adequate drainage and never allow the roots to remain in standing water.
Temperature and Winter Care
Maintain temperatures above 10°C throughout the year. Protect from frost, cold draughts and prolonged exposure to low temperatures. Average household humidity is ideal, and misting is not required.
Routine Care
