Plant Highlights: Natural hanging Kokodama® planter • Graceful arching foliage • Pet-friendly houseplant • Ideal for bright, indirect light
Overview
Kokodama® Chlorophytum comosum, commonly known as the Spider Plant, combines one of the easiest houseplants to grow with the natural charm of a handcrafted Kokodama® hanging planter. Suspended in its distinctive string-wrapped pot, the arching green-and-cream foliage creates an attractive cascading display that brings softness and greenery to indoor spaces.
Spider Plants are valued for their adaptability and dependable performance, making them an excellent choice for both new and experienced plant owners. As the plant matures, it may produce slender stems carrying small white flowers followed by young plantlets, adding extra interest throughout the year.

Indoor Placement
Hang in a bright room with indirect light. It also performs well in lightly shaded positions, making it suitable for living rooms, home offices and naturally lit bathrooms. Avoid prolonged, intense midday sun, which can scorch the foliage.
Ensure good air circulation around the hanging planter and avoid placing it close to radiators or cold draughts.
Growing Guide
Water thoroughly when the growing medium begins to dry, allowing excess moisture to drain away. Because Kokodama® planters can dry out more quickly than conventional pots, check moisture levels regularly, particularly in warm weather.
Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced liquid houseplant fertiliser to encourage healthy foliage and the production of plantlets.
Good to Know
Chlorophytum comosum is considered non-toxic to cats and dogs, making it a popular choice for pet-friendly homes. Mature plants often produce baby spider plants that can be left to trail naturally or rooted to grow new plants.
