Growing Guide

Position

Grow in full sun or partial shade in a sheltered location. Bay Laurel performs particularly well near entrances, on patios and in kitchen gardens where its evergreen structure can be appreciated throughout the year.

Watering

Water regularly during establishment to encourage a strong root system. Once established, water moderately, allowing the soil to drain freely between waterings. Container-grown plants require more frequent watering during warm weather but should never be left standing in water.

Soil

Plant in fertile, well-drained soil. When growing in containers, use a high-quality free-draining compost and ensure the pot has adequate drainage holes to prevent winter waterlogging.

Hardiness and Winter Care
