Overview
Lavandula stoechas Great Adventure is a compact evergreen lavender grown for its fragrant silver-green foliage and striking deep purple flower heads topped with showy purple bracts. Flowering from late spring into summer, it brings colour, fragrance and structure to sunny borders, gravel gardens and patio containers.
Its naturally neat, bushy habit makes it particularly suitable for smaller gardens and container displays, while the aromatic foliage provides year-round interest. As with other French lavenders, it thrives in warm, sunny positions with excellent drainage.

Growing Guide
Position
Plant in a warm, sunny position where it receives plenty of direct sunlight. Choose a sheltered site with excellent drainage, particularly in areas prone to winter wet.
Watering
Water regularly during the establishment period. Once established, water only during prolonged dry spells, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings.
Soil
Grow in well-drained soil. If planting in heavier ground, improve drainage with horticultural grit or grow in a raised bed or container.
Pruning
Lightly trim after flowering to maintain a compact shape. Avoid cutting into old woody stems, as these may not produce new growth.
