Leucothoe ‘Zeblid’
Leucothoe ‘Zeblid’ is a compact, evergreen shrub admired for its colourful foliage. New leaves emerge bright red, maturing to deep green through summer, before turning rich shades of bronze and crimson in autumn and winter. Its arching habit and year-round interest make it a versatile choice for borders, woodland gardens, or containers. Small, creamy-white flowers appear in spring, adding an extra touch of charm.
Care Tips: Plant in moist, acidic, well-drained soil in partial shade for the best leaf colour. Water regularly in dry spells and mulch annually to retain soil moisture. Minimal pruning is required – simply remove dead or damaged shoots after flowering.
Best Location: Ideal for shaded borders, woodland planting schemes, or patio containers where its striking seasonal colour can be enjoyed throughout the year.
