Pachira aquatica, commonly known as the Money Tree or Guiana Chestnut, is a popular tropical houseplant valued for its elegant palmate leaves and upright, tree-like habit. Indoor Placement

Place in bright, indirect light for the healthiest growth. It will tolerate moderate light levels but should be protected from prolonged direct afternoon sun, which may scorch the leaves. Avoid cold draughts and sudden temperature changes.

Watering

Water thoroughly when the top few centimetres of compost have dried out. Allow excess water to drain away and never leave the pot standing in water.

Humidity

Average household humidity is generally suitable, although the plant will appreciate slightly higher humidity, particularly during the heating season.

Feeding

Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced liquid houseplant fertiliser. Reduce feeding during autumn and winter when growth naturally slows.
