Parlour Palm

The light green fonds create an attractive, delicate appearance that is much sought after by interior designers. Its easy to grow nature makes this the ideal houseplant for all.


Sow seeds on the surface of a good, free draining, damp seed compost. Then lighlty cover, 3mm (1/8in) deep with vermiculite or compost. Place container in a propagator or seal inside a polythene bag at a temperature of 25-30°C (77-86°F) until after germination which usually takes 10-42 days.


Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle, taking care not to damage the fragile roots, into 7.5cm (3in) pots. Pot on into a larger container each time roots fill the pot
