Overview

Parthenocissus henryana, commonly known as Chinese Virginia Creeper, is a deciduous climber grown for its distinctive foliage and outstanding autumn display. Each leaf is richly marked with silvery-white veins, creating an attractive feature throughout the growing season before turning brilliant shades of crimson, scarlet and purple in autumn. Using adhesive pads at the ends of its tendrils, this vigorous climber readily attaches itself to suitable walls, fences and other vertical surfaces, making it an excellent choice for covering large areas with seasonal colour and texture.

Why We Love It

The beautifully veined foliage sets this climber apart throughout the growing season, while its vivid autumn colours provide one of the most dramatic seasonal displays in the garden. It is an excellent choice for quickly softening walls, fences and other vertical structures.
