Phalaenopsis, commonly known as the Moth Orchid, is one of the most rewarding flowering houseplants for indoor growing. Growing Guide
Place your orchid in bright, indirect light, avoiding strong direct sunshine which can scorch the leaves. Maintain normal indoor temperatures and keep the plant away from cold draughts and heat sources.
Water thoroughly when the orchid bark is nearly dry, then allow all excess water to drain away. Avoid leaving the pot standing in water, as constantly wet roots can lead to root problems. During active growth, feed occasionally with an orchid fertiliser according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Indoor Placement
Phalaenopsis performs well in bright living rooms, kitchens and home offices where it receives plenty of filtered daylight. Bathrooms can also be suitable if they have good natural light and the extra humidity can help support healthy growth.
