About this product

Rosa Classic Mix (Ground Cover Roses)35cm Plant in 3 Litre Pot

Plant Highlights: Low, spreading ground cover habit • Long season of colourful flowers • Mixed selection of varieties • Excellent for banks, borders and mass planting • Attractive glossy foliage

Overview

Rosa Classic Mix is a selection of ground cover roses chosen for their spreading habit, long flowering season and reliable garden performance. These compact roses form a dense carpet of glossy foliage covered with blooms from early summer through to autumn, making them an excellent choice for filling borders, softening slopes and reducing bare ground.

This product is supplied as a mixed selection, so the flower colour and individual variety will vary. All share a naturally spreading growth habit and are well suited to creating colourful, low-maintenance planting schemes.

Growing Guide

Plant in a sunny position with fertile, well-drained soil for the best flowering performance. Water regularly while establishing and during prolonged dry spells, particularly in containers. Applying a balanced rose fertiliser in spring will encourage healthy growth and repeat flowering.

Deadheading spent blooms will help keep plants looking tidy and can encourage further flushes of flowers throughout the season. Prune in late winter or early spring by removing dead, damaged or weak stems and lightly shaping the plant as required.

Why We Love It

Ground cover roses provide months of colour while forming an attractive, weed-suppressing carpet of foliage. They are an excellent choice for the front of borders, banks, large containers and mass planting, where their spreading habit softens hard edges and creates a long-lasting display.

Wildlife

The flowers may attract bees and other pollinating insects when open, although the level of wildlife value will vary between the individual varieties included in the mix.
